Man, being serious is so hard. Especially when it comes to writing an English coursework. That nervous laughter just comes out of you, doesn’t it?

Writing an English coursework can give you some hard time, especially if you did not pay attention in class while others struggled with new information, and decided to reject that weird project for some extra credit. Now you need a strategy. We will try to creep into teacher’s mind to find out what he/she hates in English courseworks. Read attentively and learn to avoid common mistakes:

  1. Never ever use contractions in an English coursework. It equals to wearing a pink Playboy outfit to a family reunion. In other words, it is deadly. Try to stick to common rules of courseworks writing. They are kind of boring, but it is an English coursework, after all.
  2. Do not ignore the new words you have studied in class. English teachers love giving new vocabularies to expand your lexical horizons. Certainly, vocab will be included into the English courseworks. To skip it means to irritate your teacher. Not a good idea, actually.
  3. Grammar mistakes in an English coursework are as unacceptable, as quoting Eminem in church. Out loud. Standing in the middle. The parallel seems quite transparent and understandable. English coursework exist to control your knowledge of grammar. You can leave your “ain’t” and “nobody saw nothing” at home. At least for the class time.
  4. Teachers also do not react joyfully on punctuation mistakes. The reason for painful reaction has not yet been discovered by scientists, so the only thing you can do is put the commas and the dots correctly in an English coursework.
