There is a big difficulty in writing descriptive essays. The point is that the descriptive essays are very personal. At the same time, no one will expect you to confess and tell little secrets. You do not have to be that personal.

Here is what your descriptive essay can be devoted to:

  • A descriptive essay can talk about some unforgettable experience – a certain perfect moment you will never forget and can gladly share with the readers. Note, though, that it should be only one moment. A descriptive essay is not a kind of a retrospective or memoirs. No one will want to read your life odysseys. Therefore, you will have to think what can be the best episode your descriptive essay will talk about.
  • Another way to write a descriptive essay is to share a certain lesson learned, a situation you once passed through and will never want to repeat again.

Writing something personal is always hard. There has to be a certain line between boasting and being shy. This is why a good idea is to involve friends and family members to writing a descriptive essay. It does not actually mean you will sit together at the round table like King Arthur and mighty knights to write your homework assignment. But they can come up with reminisces and hints on how to describe your personality in descriptive essays.

Write all the ideas down carefully. You will not use all of them in a descriptive essay, but the more you have, the bigger the choice will be.
