You may be the genius of financial stuff, and still feel uncomfortable about writing a finance thesis. There are several reasons for this. One of them is probably the fact that it is the first finance thesis you have ever written. In this case many questions can pop up concerning the basic structure. Your supervisor is the person to throw some light on peculiarities of finance thesis writing.
 
Another reason may concern some research questions. What, how and where to investigate for finance theses is quite a problem for students new to writing such a big academic paper. There are certain things you need to take into consideration while writing a finance thesis.

  1. Work with up-to-date documents. Theory and classics are great, but a good finance thesis on the modern situation has to be based on actual documentation. It is better to choose the problem you are able to follow. If your finance thesis includes a certain company, make sure you have access to written data and archives. If not, look for the ways to back your arguments up with adequate resources from online sources. A finance thesis has to include documentation.
  2. Calculate. You know how it goes with numbers. Mess up one equation, everything in your finance thesis will go wrong. This is why do not work late into the nights. Your brain gets tired, and you do not notice mistakes any more. Do not forget to re-read the completed finance thesis and check everything once more.
  3. Work on syntaxes. Your finance theses is certainly more about numbers, and that is where you feel yourself at home. Still, numbers have to be linked between each other with words. Therefore, try your best to come up with a more or less readable text for a finance thesis.
