That is why we decided to consider the main types of university essays in this article.
First and foremost, it would be reasonable to start our article with presentation of an “essay” definition. Within the academic study Essay can be defined as a kind of written paper presenting the author’s subjective point of view on a certain problem.

- Narrative Essay. This kind of university essays aims to describe certain events. It is usually written in the first person singular and past tense. The narrative type of university essays is focused on identification of the narrator’s subjective point of view;

- Argumentative Essay. This kind of university essays aims to provide an argument for a certain controversial issue. This argument should be supported by certain reasons;
- Reflective Essay. This kind of university essays deals with abstract nature;
- For and Against Essay. This is one more type of university essays that provides 2 opposite points of view on a certain debatable issue. The writer should conclude everything and express his/her own opinion on this issue.
