Don’t get too relaxed after putting the last dot in your dissertation writing. Before turning it in there are at least two more important procedures that need to be done. One of them is proofreading. Here you can be called the lucky person because modern technologies make the process of dissertation writing and proofreading easier with the word processor. Still scan your dissertation carefully because some mistakes can be left. Don’t try to read the whole writing at once. Mind becomes tired and stops noticing mistakes. Rather divide the dissertation writing in equal parts and proofread systematically.
 
Editing a dissertation will be harder because old computer man will not tell you that your sections are a little messed up, or you have APA at one page and MLA at another. First of all, scan the entire paper for mistakes in structure. Make sure that certain parts – Literature Review, Methodology, Appendices, Lists of Tables and Graphs and Introduction with Conclusion – follow their certain pattern of organization. Trust me that these kinds of mistakes in dissertation writing are the most frustrating ones, so edit the dissertation carefully to insure yourself from them.
